Reply with quote | #1 | That is a pretty demoralizing loss for the Angels, and they now find themselves in a 2-0 hole. I think you can pretty much stick a fork in them. It seems like the Yankees are catching all of the breaks late in games this year.
As an aside, it is crazy living in New York when the Yankees are playing these extra inning games. Even from in my apartment I could hear the yelling coming from around the neighbourhood when Hairston scored (or against the Twins when Teixeira hit the home run). Never experienced anything like that before. |

Reply with quote | #2 | Hard to believe they can after last night. The bats just aren't that good, apparently. |

Sorry to say but it looks like this might be the Yankees year. I doubt the Angels or Phils can derail them. Even big boy CC looks good. |

The playoffs are just a different beast. You see CC twice in 4 games instead of the 4th and 5th starters. I would be interested to see the regular season splits for The Angels; number 1 and 2 starters versus back of the rotation guys. Obviously the overall numbers for the Angels were great but if they struggled against top tier pitchers maybe this could have been predicted. |

Reply with quote | #6 | Lol I appreciate the joke but I think it might be the end of an era in Anaheim... Los Angeles whatever.
Free Agents: Lackey Guerrero Abreu Escobar (not that he did anything the last couple years) Oliver Figgins (I think)
Plus several players will be due significant raises as they have finished out their first three years inlcuding: Weaver Mathis Aybar Kendrick Saunders Napoli |
